Julien Clerc (4 October 1947), born as Paul Alain Leclerc, is a French singer and songwriter.
Clerc broke through in France in 1969 with a French version of the musical Hair. Later he also gained fame in the Netherlands through hits such as Hélène ', Si on chantait, Elle voulait qu'on l'appelle Venise, Ce n'est rien and This melody, which even became a number 1 hit in the Netherlands. Responsible for his greatest successes was copywriter Etienne Roda-Gil, who died on 31 May 2004.

This exclusive performance was recorded at the AVRO Grand Gala Du Disque TV show in the Netherlands on 14 February 1974
