Top Chef contestant Chef Rogelio Garcia celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month by sharing his personal story on his journey to becoming a world-renowned chef. In this talk, Chef Rogelio shares how he immigrated from Mexico City to California at a young age, and along the way, he discovered his aspirations to cook professionally. Unable to afford traditional culinary school in his early days, Chef Rogelio carved his own path to success with the help of mentors like Thomas Keller to eventually do great work for multiple Michelin Star restaurants such as Spruce and The French Laundry.
