From the advance EP of the soundtrack, Yves Montand's cut 'duet' with Barbra Streisand, "He (She) Isn't You" from "On a Clear Day". Meticulously cleaned from the demo LP. This and other cuts from it probably indicate what Minnelli's original cut was like. This both deepens the relationship between the doctor and the long dead Melinda and softens Montand's performance considerably. This was yoked to Streisand's vocal on the EP (but with a transition chord), unlike her solo on the CD and film soundtrack. In the stage version this was Robert's song, "She Wasn't You", and frankly superior to either, ravishing.
